After reading Father Hidalgo’s speech, El Grito de Delores, our TX History students wrote their own speech on freedom in Coach Knight’s class. These top 8 students were selected to deliver their speeches to the Admin Team. We heard speeches on freedom from 7 footers in 2K, freedom from ICE, freedom from one-way halls, freedom from listening to soft jazz in classes, freedom from giving nerve wracking public speeches, and the one speech that brought us all to tears- a young lady apologized for her English and then delivered a powerful speech on freedom from bullying.
