Our students are practicing how to describe famous people! So far, they can share someone’s name, profession, where they are from, and how old they are. They can also describe what someone looks like—which is definitely their favorite part! 😊
They’ve also been learning how to describe personality traits and, most importantly, how to ask questions to gather this information and use it when describing someone else. We love seeing their language skills grow as they put everything they’ve learned into practice! ...

It’s Start With Hello Week! 💚As parents, we want our kids to feel safe, valued, and included at school. Social isolation hurts, but a simple greeting can change everything. You can help reinforce these three easy steps at home:
1️⃣ See Someone Alone – Notice when a peer looks left out or lonely.
2️⃣ Reach Out and Help – Do a small act of kindness or invite them over.
3️⃣ Start With Hello – Break the ice and start a conversation!
Ask your children how they are saying hello and spreading kindness this week. Let’s build a stronger, more welcoming community together!

Great things are happening in Ms. Peach Advanced Science class! 🦅✨
Students were completing a gallery walk to view other students' projects. During the gallery walk, they were filling out information about each project that they viewed. This allowed them to see different ways that the project could be completed.
They were to create a model of a chemical compound out of materials that they have at home. Then they had to write a report about how they built it and the elements that make up the compound. They also had to show the correct number of atoms of each element in the compound. Upon completion of the gallery walk, each student completed a self-reflection about their own project.

Start With Hello Week/Guidance Lesson
September 21st-25th
We are excited to participate in Sandy Hook Start With Hello Week! This special week focuses on kindness, inclusion, and helping students feel connected and welcomed at school.
Throughout the week, students will take part in activities and conversations that encourage them to:
Say hello and make others feel welcome.
Include classmates and build friendships.
Recognize when someone may feel lonely or left out.
Practice kindness and create a more caring school community.
We encourage you to continue these conversations at home by talking with your child about the importance of including others, showing kindness, and reaching out to someone who may need a friend.
School counselors will also be visiting classrooms to provide guidance lessons focused on suicide prevention, bullying prevention, and personal safety. We are excited to continue supporting our students by equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive both in school and in life.
