Special note from Mrs Iraheta:
I wanted to share some important information about attendance and the importance of being on time.
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) requires that all students attend school at least 90% of the time during the school year. Students who do not meet this requirement may be at risk of having to repeat their grade.
Please remember that unexcused absences are reported weekly to the truancy officer, so it’s very important to call the front office to excuse your child’s absence.
If your student is out sick, please provide a doctor’s note so we can properly document the absence. This is especially important if your student is frequently absent due to illness. For any doctor, dentist, or other appointments, please send the note with your student the next day they return or email it directly to me at ciraheta@aisd.net
Attendance is taken daily at 9:00 AM. Students must be in their classroom before 9:00 AM to be counted present for the day. Any student arriving after 9:00 AM will be marked absent. This is why it is important to be on time.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me at ciraheta@aisd.net
Thank you for helping us ensure your child’s success through strong attendance! ... See MoreSee Less
