Hi Colts,

After the hottest summer of our lifetimes, we certainly deserved the amazing weather this past weekend. I know many of you used the 3-day weekend to enjoy the Texas State Fair. I hope you enjoyed every $20 fried treat you could find.

This month is already passing by quickly. I apologize for the late letter - I looked up and it was already October! We have lots of fun things happening this month, so be sure to mark your calendars.

Our FFA students reminded the staff of the October Dog Walking Challenge where people are challenged to walk 31 miles with their dogs in 31 days. I encouraged the staff to join in and send pics of themselves taking walks with their dogs (or pets, or family, or self). It's been so fun to see everyone's animals. I encourage you all to do the same. Get outside, enjoy your pet, and share the experience with others. These are 3 great ways to boost your mental health as well.
