Hi Colts,

We are just a few days away from the end of the first semester of school. It feels like we just got into a routine, and then the semester ends. And, the more you try to soak up every second, the faster it all goes. I hope you and your student have had a semester of growth while also making great memories.

Today when I get home, my college son’s car will be in the driveway, and I cannot tell you how amazing that feels. Enjoy every day that you see your kid’s car in the driveway.

Spring semester is a lot, but it’s so important to be present through all of it. I have found myself struggling quite a bit this year as I get ready for the complete change to my entire life with my youngest graduating. I’m excited, and proud, but just so, so sad too. But, I am grateful for the community of parents going through this beside me as we all navigate this next phase of our lives.

I know the 2nd semester is a challenge, but let’s all remember to enjoy our kids. And continue to strive to be someone they enjoy back. Let them see you happy and excited when you are getting them ready for their next big event, not stressed out or frustrated. We'll look back and remember the silliness and the mess-ups. We really don’t remember the days that worked out perfectly. So just enjoy it all, and enjoy one another.
