Ms Urbina's and Mrs. Barker's Biology classes were treated to an introduction to The UTA Amphibian and Reptile Diversity Research Center by Greg Pandelis, Collections Manager, who brought specimens from the collection and explained the process of gathering and preserving various species for the university collection.

Mr. Pandelis was joined by assistants. Dalton Lawing and Gabriella. They each brought live examples: a rainbow boa snake, colorful burrowing toad and a gecko, Students had the opportunity to hear about ARDRC and ask questions. Mr. Pandelis was joined by Lorreta Zhang of the Arlington Public Library.

Once a Colt, Always a Colts. Ms. Urbina worked at the ARDRC while at UTA and assistant Dalton Lawing is AHS Class of 2019.

The UTA Amphibian and Reptile Diversity Research Center  (ARDRC)   is among the top herpetological collections in the United States.
