Bowie High School has been awarded the 21st Century Grant by the state of Texas. This grant supports learning communities for parents and students such as ZAP and Peer Tutoring. Beverly Schreiber is the 21st Century Site Supervisor and can be reached at 682-687-1431. Participation in this program for parents/students in the Bowie community is free. Freshmen First Event! will be August 20 from 6:30-9:00. All incoming freshmen are requested to attend this great and fun event. Come and get "Bowiefied!" More information will be forthcoming.
Attention Students interested in AP or IB Courses: We are offering a Summer Bridge Program August 3-6 from 9-12 for all Advanced Academic students who wish to improve and enrich their academic skills. If interested, download the flyer.

STAR Teachers/Students Honored
The top 2% of the graduating class selected a teacher that influenced them the most. These teachers and students were recognized at the STAR reception.
Bowie TSA Dominates State Competition
Team Bowie TSA took 24 of the 31 available national qualifying spots in the state competition dominating the other schools. The team will represent Texas at the TSA National Championships in Denver this summer. Thirteen students received 1st place, 8 students received 2nd place, and 4 students placed 3rd. Mr. Andy Barrett is the TSA sponsor.
Lady Vols Track Team Wins Regionals
CONGRATULATIONS to the Lady Volunteer track team for winning the Region 1 – 5A Championship track meet in Lubbock.The team will be representing Bowie High School at the state track meet in Austin on June 6. Full story>>

BPA State Medalists and Wall of Fame Inductees
The students in the photo were medal winners at the BPA State Contest. In addition, the following students were inducted in to the AISD Wall of Fame for their success at the BPA State Contest. Veteran Teachers Honored
Several Bowie Faculty were honored at a banquet hosted by AISD for their years of service in Arlington. These teachers have been in the teaching profession from 25 to 40 years. Cardboard Boat Regatta Champions
The Bowie Science Team competed in River Legacy’s Cardboard Boat Regatta at Hurricane Harbor. Five boats entered – 4 student and 1 faculty. Bowie walked away with three trophies. Full story>
