Mary Kitchen-Neal

My name is Mary Kitchen-Neal. I answer to all versions of my name; Ms. Kitchen-Neal, Ms. Kitchen, Ms. Neal or just Ms., although my students seem to prefer Ms. Kitchen.

(Practical) English III (11th) and English IV (12th) mkitchen@aisd.net

I have more than 30 years in a variety of educational roles and have taught all student levels from infancy to adults. I have a B.A. in English Literature from Kansas State University, (Manhattan, Kansas) and my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy (Friends University, Wichita, KS). I occasionally consult and develop Family and Life Skills presentations for the youth and staff of the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana (Marksville, LA). I rediscovered my love of all that’s English while substituting here at AHS and am grateful to the English Department for embracing me and reigniting that passion. I am excited for this new journey as I reinvent myself both professionally and personally. My husband and I raised six children and are enjoying our 14 grandchildren.
