Student job board
Posted in on June 17, 2021

High school students, do you still need a summer job? Arlington ISD has a great online resource to help you find one.

The Arlington ISD Career Board actually has a lot more than just summer opportunities. It has everything from part-time jobs and practicums for current students to career opportunities for recent graduates, plus help for writing a resume and getting a job. It’s a great way for local business and organizations to connect with students and graduates.

The job board was originally built just for Arlington ISD’s Virtual College and Career Expo. But when 4,101 students interacted with the job board during the expo alone, Kari Winter, a practicum specialist at the Arlington ISD Dan Dipert Career + Technical Center, realized the job board should continue beyond the expo.

“Because of its popularity with our business partners and students, it is something we are maintaining permanently,” Winter said. “The pandemic has certainly presented many challenges this year. However, in some cases the challenges have turned into opportunities! This was certainly the case with our Arlington ISD job board.”
