Dedicated to turning your love for food service into a career in the Arlington ISD? Our food and nutrition services team is searching for you!

Join us for the Arlington ISD Job Expo on Thursday, Feb. 1, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Webb Elementary School.

Representatives from the Arlington ISD food and nutrition services department will be there to conduct on-the-spot interviews with candidates.

“We are looking to grow our team with team members who have a spirit of service and who are passionate about the well-being of children in our community,” said David Lewis, Arlington ISD’s executive director of food and nutrition services. “Our team thrives on a family environment and teamwork. We can’t wait to bring new members in!”

Lewis also said one of the things that makes his team so special is how diverse and inclusive it is.

Of course, Lewis loves singing the praises of his department, but he’s not alone. The team members who are already here love their jobs.

“It is great to work for the district, the flexibility in schedules, the opportunity for job growth, the good work environment, the training opportunities such as English classes, GED and other various courses and finally the opportunity to favorably impact the lives of our students,” said Short Elementary food service manager Guadalupe Davila.

All available food service positions start at $16 an hour. As a full-time employee, you can make an additional $1,200 bonus per year through our attendance incentives. There is also a potential pay increase of up to 40 cents per hour for successfully passing your training courses.

So what are you waiting for? Fulfill your career in education!
