My Arlington ISD Parent Newsletter for November 2025

Welcome to November, the holiday season is right around the corner.

Arlington ISD Families,

We have worked with our community partners to gather a list of local organizations providing food resources to Arlington ISD families. This is a live website that will update automatically.

It's already time to start thinking about the experience your student will have in Arlington ISD next school year.  There are several parent information meetings coming up that highlight the free programs your student has access to next year. The district is already planning next year's academic calendar. Click the image below to share your input.

You can attend a parent information meeting, learn more and apply below.

Transfer Window Opens Nov. 20

Arlington ISD’s transfer window opens Nov. 20 through Dec. 4. This is when families already in Arlington ISD can apply to transfer to a different school, or families from outside the district can apply to transfer into an Arlington ISD school.

Text (SMS) Messaging Update

Arlington ISD’s mass communication system, Finalsite, has changed their text messaging short code.

  • Emergency text messages will now come from 53291
  • General/outreach messages will come from 97178

This change allows Finalsite to maintain message deliverability while returning to the familiar setup of separate numbers for emergency and general messages. Please save both numbers in your contacts so you can quickly recognize messages from our schools.

What's Your Big Idea?

The annual entrepreneurship contest sponsored by the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce inspires students to get creative and come up with big ideas.
