New Arlington ISD Natatorium Sure to Make a Big Splash

The daily mantra at the new Arlington ISD Natatorium is “just add water.” While there are a few things to do to get the pool ready, it’s close. The new Arlington ISD Athletics Center will include the natatorium and a multi-sport arena. Next door, construction of the district’s new Center for Visual and Performing Arts is close to completion.

Check out the construction progress photos taken yesterday:

The final projects of the 2014 Bond, the Athletics Center and Center for Visual and Performing Arts, located in Arlington’s Entertainment District next to AT&T Stadium, will serve the entire district.

Center for Visual and Performing Arts

The Center for Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) will house world-class performance and demonstration venues. It will include a 1,250-seat concert hall, 425-seat theater, classroom space, art and dance studios, an instrument repair center and art gallery. Athletics Center

The Athletics Center will give the district its first-ever natatorium. The natatorium will include a 50-meter pool with moveable bulkheads, a diving area, a warm-up pool and seating for 1,000 spectators. In addition to the natatorium, the Athletics Center will house a 1,200-seat arena for competition wrestling, basketball, volleyball and be home to a new elementary gymnastics program.

These new world-class venues will give Arlington ISD students the opportunity to explore, compete and succeed. Learn more about the Arlington ISD and its wide variety of opportunities.
