Proposition A:
$438,755,000
School replacements, renovations, safety upgrades, special education facilities, buses, and academic improvements.
Two replacement elementary schools
Bond 2026 would fund the construction of a replacement school for 70-year-old South Davis Elementary School and another to be determined that would be comparable to the district's newer schools. The new schools would meet today's educational standards.
Facility Improvements
The bond would also allow for replacing essential school building infrastructure, H-VAC, roofing, electrical, and plumbing at schools where they are beyond their useful life, making schools more efficient and cheaper to operate, saving the district millions of dollars each year that can go back into the classroom.
18 PLUSS Center
The bond would fund upgrades to the 18 PLUSS special education program by repurposing an underutilized elementary school as a centralized campus for this program, helping operational efficiency and delivering more services and opportunities for these students.
Classroom Furniture
New school buses
Arlington ISD transports up to 12,000 students to and from school every day. Buses are continually replaced as they reach the end of their useful life. The bond would allow for the purchase of replacement buses.
Career & Technical Education
Approximately 79% of high school students participate in Career and Technology Education programs, but the district lacks sufficient classroom equipment for all students who wish to participate. The bond would allow the purchase of additional equipment to expand and upgrade course offerings for students and prepare them for college or high-demand jobs upon graduation.
Safety & Security Upgrades
Bond 2026 would fund safety and security upgrades, including exterior lighting, surveillance cameras, access control systems, emergency communication systems, and additional metal detectors at junior high and high school campuses.
Fine Arts Equipment
Nearly 73% of K–12 students in Arlington ISD participate in fine arts programs, reflecting how widely these opportunities are integrated into the student experience.
Bond 2026 includes funding for fine arts program updates such as providing modern classroom equipment.
