The District Level Instructional Decision-Making Committee (DIDC) serves in an advisory role and reviews Arlington ISD’s educational goals, objectives, and major districtwide classroom instructional programs. It also advises the Arlington ISD District of Innovation Plan.

DIDC focus areas include:

  • District Improvement Planning (DIP)
  • Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
  • Professional Learning
  • Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR)
  • Finance
  • District of Innovation (DOI)

Members selected to serve on the committee serve a two-year term. The committee is comprised of campus staff, district staff, parents, and community members, providing diverse perspectives to inform district-level instructional decision making.

Parent and community involvement strengthen the district’s decision-making process by ensuring that multiple perspectives and experiences are considered when reviewing district priorities, programs, and initiatives. Their input provides valuable insight into the needs, experiences, and expectations of students and families, while helping the district build transparency, trust, and shared ownership of district goals. Engaging stakeholders in this process also creates opportunities for meaningful feedback and collaboration, supporting decisions that are responsive to the diverse communities AISD serves.
