Charles Young was a resident of Arlington since 1952 when he moved here with his wife and family to become district manager for Lone Star Gas Company. He spent nearly 12 years as a member of the AISD School Board, serving from 1961-1973.
Mr. Young attended Texas Tech University before launching a long career in the natural gas business. In Arlington, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church, president of the Chamber of Commerce and active in a number of other civic and cultural activities in the community.
