Eddy and Debbie Peach have a combined 81 years working in the Arlington ISD.

Eddy worked in the AISD for 45 years, including 40 years as the Lamar High School head football coach. On Aug. 29, 2008, Eddy became the first head coach to win 300 games at the Class 5A level (current Class 6A level), and he retired in 2010 with 310 wins. Eddy began his teaching and coaching career in 1965 at Carter Junior High. He spent four years at Arlington High School as a PE teacher, JV football coach and head baseball coach.

Debbie, who taught for 36 years in the AISD, began her teaching and coaching career at Bailey Junior High in 1973. In the late 1970s, she served as the PE teacher at Roquemore Elementary. In 1982, she became an English teacher at Shackelford Junior High where she taught for 15 years. When ninth graders moved to the high school campuses in 1997, Debbie moved up to Lamar High School where she taught ninth-grade English and served as department chair until she retired in 2010. Debbie earned Teacher of the Year honors at the elementary, junior high and high school levels.

Eddy and Debbie Peach Elementary on Baird Farm Road opened in the fall of 2016.
