A Curriculum Built for Little Learners and Big Discoveries
In Arlington ISD, our Pre-K curriculum grows with your child—one question, one giggle, one “I did it!” at a time.
Designed around the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines, our program follows how children naturally learn and develop. Every activity—from circle time to block building—is purposeful, helping little ones build the skills they’ll need for kindergarten and beyond.
We weave learning into play across four key areas:
Thinking & problem-solving like counting, sorting, and asking “why?”
Moving & doing from fine motor practice to outdoor play
Making friends & managing feelings like sharing, listening, and trying again
Talking, listening & early reading including phonics, vocabulary, and storytelling
And because every child learns differently, our certified teachers personalize the experience with extra support for English learners, children with special needs, and every unique learner in between.
It’s not just about readiness.
It’s about growing in confidence, curiosity, and joy—one day at a time.
What Does a Great Start Look Like?
It’s not just what children learn in Pre-K. It’s how they learn it.
Every day in our classrooms, your child is building the skills they’ll need for kindergarten through play, exploration, and joyful discovery. And research shows just how powerful that early start can be.
According to a study by Raise Your Hand Texas, 54% of children who attend preschool are ready for kindergarten, compared to just 38% who don’t. And high-quality Pre-K programs—like ours—can lead to lasting gains in learning and confidence.
So what does that look like in real life?
Imagine your child:
- Pretending to run a grocery store and secretly learning math and language
- Building towers with blocks and discovering early engineering
- Singing the alphabet song, painting with big brushes, or shaping letters in playdough
- Sitting with their teacher during story time, pointing to words, and saying, “I read it!”
- Laughing on the playground, taking turns, and making their first school friends
- Exploring the STEM lab, dancing to music, or painting a masterpiece at the art table
These aren’t just “activities.”
They’re building blocks for reading, counting, sharing, and believing in themselves.
And yes, they’re also learning to hold a pencil, recognize numbers and letters, write their name, and use technology. But they’re doing it in a way that feels like play, not pressure.
Because in our Pre-K classrooms, every moment is a chance to grow and every child belongs.
