Grade 7 Science is organized into recurring strands. Concepts build on prior knowledge and prepare students for the next grade level and establish a foundation for high school courses. Topics include; matter and energy; force, motion, and energy; Earth and space and; organisms and environments. The student, for at least 40% of instructional time, asks questions, identifies problems, and plans and safely conducts classroom, laboratory, and field investigations to answer questions, explain phenomena, or design solutions using appropriate tools and models.
