In this interdisciplinary course, the majority of the content is modified and focuses on organisms and the environment, physical science, and Earth and space. Students will use scientific methods to conduct descriptive, comparative and/or experimental laboratory and field investigations. Topics of study include the interactions between matter and energy, the physical and chemical properties and changes of matter, relationship between force, motion and energy, the Earth System and organisms and the environment. Emphasis will be placed on critical thinking, scientific reasoning and problem solving skills. Access to this course is determined by the ARD committee and is based on a student’s IEP.
