In Arlington ISD, we have one goal: for 100% of our students to graduate exceptionally prepared for college, career, and citizenship. We believe this begins in elementary school, where students build a strong foundation for future success. Our commitment is to provide engaging, rigorous, and innovative learning experiences that connect to the world around us and help every child discover and pursue their dreams.
Our elementary program is designed to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of young learners in Pre-K through 6th grade. We focus on creating safe, supportive, and inspiring classrooms where students gain essential skills in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies, while also exploring the arts, physical education, and technology. These formative years are an exciting time for growth, discovery, and developing the confidence needed to transition successfully into junior high.
Here you will find the syllabi of the courses available at each grade level, which can help you better understand the journey your child will experience throughout elementary school. Elementary school is a special time filled with curiosity, exploration, and growth. Our hope is that each student leaves elementary school prepared not only for the next level of learning, but also with a love for learning that will last a lifetime.
If you have any questions about courses, scheduling, or the information in this handbook, please contact your school’s office or counselor. We are here to support you every step of the way.
