Specialized Programs for
Kindergarten through 12th grade
Early College High School Program
We understand that one of the biggest concerns parents have is the future cost of college. With Arlington ISD Early College High School options, students can earn an associate degree for free!
With three programs to choose from, students can graduate from high school with up to 60 college credits and some with a professional workplace certification, paid for by the Arlington ISD. They can gain a head start in college or launch right into a successful career.
Give them early access to career success in health sciences, cybersecurity, business or any number of other promising industries!
STEM Academies
Prepare your student to follow their curiosity and develop essential critical thinking skills. Our world-class STEM Academies provide a well-rounded education that includes literacy, fine arts and electives with a focus on STEM.
Nurture their love for STEM while giving them a competitive edge in their future career. Provide them a place to fully explore what they love by applying to a STEM Academy.
Fine Arts and Dual Language Academies
Anyone who has been around a 5-year old knows how curious they are. Give them a space to nurture that curiosity with every opportunity to grow.
Explore our fine arts and dual language academies that begin in kindergarten. Students integrate fine arts and language into every element of their curriculum. And, they can stay together through high school!

Please note that students applying for grades 2 – 5 at Corey and Jones Academy must complete a language proficiency assessment. Students must meet grade level language expectations for consideration of acceptance.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The application windows opens on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 and closes on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 5:00 PM.
You will need a working email address, the student's date of birth and student ID number. The email address should be a family email address that is checked regularly. It cannot be a student’s Arlington ISD email address assigned to them by the district.
Students applying to elementary and high school program may rank their program choices.
Chrome is best to complete the online application.
Changes cannot be made to the application once it is submitted.

The program that accepted the student will email program invitations directly from their program email address to the email address given on the online application. These decisions will be sent at noon on Friday, May 20, 2022.
Parents and students must accept or decline the invitation by noon on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
Students living in Arlington who live more than two miles from their specialized program will be able to access transportation through a hub system. Designated campuses serve as hubs for students in nearby schools.
Admission to students who reside outside of the Arlington ISD boundaries will be offered only after all resident applicants have been placed. Applications for out-of-district siblings of current specialized program students are given weighted consideration.
Non-Arlington ISD students are required to upload the following scanned documents for each student application:
- Report Card for Grades 1-6
- STAAR Score for Grades 3-6
