Arlington ISD photos featured in publication
Arlington ISD is proud to be featured in the newly released The Texas Promise: A Vision for Public Education document from the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA).
Out of more than 1,200 school districts across Texas, only about 20 had photos in the publication, and Arlington ISD had two. Arlington ISD photos show up on pages 12 and 18 of the publication, showcasing the district’s work in student-centered learning.
The featured images capture powerful moments of learning and connection, including pre-K students engaging with building task cards (page 12) and junior high administrators dressed up to welcome families at a parent picnic (page 18). These snapshots represent the heart of Arlington ISD – innovation in the classroom and strong relationships with families.
“It was so exciting to open the publication at Midwinter [TASA conference] and see ‘photo credit: Arlington ISD’ on these pictures,” said Arlington ISD deputy superintendent Dr. Jennifer Collins. “I am so proud and thankful!”
Collins actually played a big role in the publication. She served on the statewide committee that helped rewrite and shape The Texas Promise. Her voice and leadership helped guide the vision presented in the publication that will influence teaching and learning across Texas for years to come.
In Arlington ISD, we don’t just follow best practices. We help lead them!
