Arlington ISD leads the Dallas Forth Worth Metroplex in teacher pay.
In a school district comparison published by the United Educators Association, Arlington ISD is at the top in DFW for new teachers and teachers with five, 10 and 15 years of experience. The district is second in teacher pay in the Metroplex for teachers with 20 and 25 years of experience, and third for teachers with 30 years of experience.
“The board strategically prioritizes teacher pay because strong educators are critical to student achievement, and market-leading pay helps the district recruit and retain them,” said Arlington ISD Board President Justin Chapa.
That’s why Arlington ISD has inceased teacher pay year after year.
“We love our teachers,” said Arlington ISD Superintendent Dr. Matt Smith, “Our Board made staff compensation a priority for our district over the past five years because we know the impact our staff has on student learning. We’re committed to hiring and keeping the best teachers and making sure they are supported not just in pay, but in all areas.”
