It’s graduation season and we are celebrating the Class of 2025 valedictorian and salutatorian for all eight Arlington ISD high schools. Meet Lamar High School’s salutatorian Max Burger.

〉What is one piece of advice you would give an incoming freshman?
No matter how rough things get, don’t get discouraged. Everything will turn out okay in the end.
〉What will you miss most about high school?
All the people that I have been around for over 12 years of my life.
〉What are you most excited about after graduation?
Being able to focus on academic topics that interest me.
〉Who inspires you the most and why?
Coach Stephens, my calculus teacher, has shown me the importance of punctuality and that if you put your mind to something it is possible (even calculus).
〉What’s your favorite high school memory?
Everyone shouting my name and crowding around me after I placed second at the district cross country meet.
