Apply for the Citizens Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) now through Oct. 23, 2020.
The Arlington ISD is accepting applications for positions on the Citizens Bond Oversight Committee. The committee is established to provide transparency and enhance public confidence in the use of proceeds from the sale of bonds authorized by Arlington ISD voters on Nov. 5, 2019. The purpose of the committee is to provide findings and recommendations to the Board of Trustees relating to the expenditure of bond proceeds authorized in the 2019 Bond election, the progress of the 2019 Bond program and ways the district can maximize the potential of the 2019 Bond program.
The committee will be comprised of a maximum of 11 voting members appointed by the board to serve two-year staggered terms. Terms may be extended for additional one- or two-year terms upon approval by the board. In this, the year of creation, five of the 11 voting committee members will be appointed to one-year terms, and 6 of the 11 voting committee members will be appointed to two-year terms.
