Application open until Aug. 21

Applications are now being accepted through Aug. 21 for parents, guardians, Arlington ISD employees, and community members interested in serving on the Student Health Advisory Council (SHAC).

The SHAC is a committee appointed by the Arlington ISD Board of Trustees to advise the board on topics related to health education instruction and school wellness programs. Members collaborate on key areas such as physical education, nutrition services, mental health, safe school environments, and health services.

The SHAC meets four times per year, usually in November, January, March and May. Council Members serve two-year terms.
