It’s now three years in a row with a perfect score.
Arlington ISD earned its third-straight perfect score of 100 on the 2025-2026 School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST), the highest possible rating under the Texas Education Agency’s financial accountability system.
“Earning this rating reflects our commitment to strong financial stewardship,” said Arlington ISD Superintendent Dr. Matt Smith. It’s not just about balancing the books, it’s about building trust with our community and ensuring every dollar is used to support student success.”
School districts are assessed across 21 important financial indicators, including fund balance, debt management, solvency, and internal controls. Achieving a perfect score reflects Arlington ISD’s dedication to transparency, responsible resource allocation, and long-term fiscal strength.
Arlington ISD provides budget and financial information online to increase transparency and align with the initiatives of the Texas Comptroller for financial transparency.
