Despite the possibility of inclement weather, more than 100 Arlington ISD students experienced an exciting day of hands-on science during the annual Rotary STEM Day on Saturday, March 7. The event, hosted by the Arlington Sunrise Rotary Club, took place at Adams Elementary and featured interactive activities conducted by representatives from Mad Science Worldwide.

Arlington Sunrise Rotary Club hosts annual STEM Day for Arlington ISD studentsSecond- and fourth-grade students from across the district participated in a variety of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) stations designed to spark curiosity and encourage exploration. Through engaging experiments and demonstrations, students discovered the excitement of science through hands-on learning.

Charisse Brown, a teacher at Remynse Elementary, braved the weather so her child could attend the event.

“She enjoyed the various stations, especially the slingshot and airplane station,” Brown said. “She loves science and anything related to it.”

Through the strong community partnership with the Arlington Sunrise Rotary Club, students are discovering new ways to spark their curiosity, explore exciting learning opportunities, and imagine the innovators they can become.

Together, we’re not just teaching lessons, we’re opening doors to possibilities, celebrating creativity, and supporting every student as they take bold steps toward their future.

A big thanks to the Arlington Sunrise Rotary Club!
