School supplies and backpacks
We’re now five weeks from the start of the 2024-25 school year in the Arlington ISD!
Hopefully, everyone in the house is excited about Aug. 14. We know we are in the Arlington ISD. We’re ready to welcome back more than 50,000 students for the school year.
The first step to ensuring your readiness is to register your student. Beat the Rush by registering today here using your Parent Self-Serve account.
School supplies
Once you’ve done that, you can work on the rest of your back-to-school checklist. One of the most frequently asked questions we get is about school supplies. You can find our elementary school supply list here. We don’t have school supply lists for junior highs and high schools because the students have different classes and instead of being grade-specific, the lists are class-specific. Students will get those lists once school starts.
Back to School Kickoff
And don’t forget you can always take care of the school supplies by attending our 10th annual Back to School Kickoff. That event is Saturday, Aug. 3, from 8 a.m. until noon at AT&T Stadium. You can get a backpack full of school supplies for free. You can also find out more information there at our resource fair. Sign up for the Kickoff here before all the backpacks are claimed! More than 4,000 of the available backpacks have already been claimed.
Pre-K Palooza
And if you’re bringing one of our littlest learners to the district, you can visit us at our fourth annual Pre-K Palooza Tuesday, July 16, at Adams Elementary. The event runs from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. and you can get all your pre-K and kindergarten questions answered. You can also register your pre-K or kindergarten student in person at the event.
