FatherFest 2025 was a huge success, bringing together over 1,000 attendees for a vibrant and heartfelt celebration honoring the essential role of fathers and families in supporting their children’s academic success. The event united families, educators and community members for a full day of fun, connection and celebration.

This year’s event featured more than 25 vendors, offering valuable information and access to local resources ranging from health and wellness to educational support services. Thanks to the dedication of more than 60 volunteers, the atmosphere was welcoming and filled with opportunities for meaningful engagement.
A highlight of FatherFest 2025 was the debut of the FatherFest Car Show, coordinated by the Fatherhood Coalition of AISD.

Spearheaded by Steve Armendariz, a devoted father from Morton Elementary and Sam Houston High School, the show displayed a variety of unique and classic vehicles. Attendees cast their votes for the “Family Choice Award,” along with other categories such as “Best in Show” and “Most Unique.” Custom trophies, designed and produced by students from the Arlington ISD Career and Technical Center, made a significant contribution to the day’s success.

In addition to celebrating father and family engagement, awards were presented to Arlington ISD students who logged over 2,000 out-of-school-time reading minutes, recognizing their dedication to literacy and personal growth. Several campuses were also honored for their outstanding efforts in building a strong culture of engagement with fathers and families.

FatherFest 2025 once again affirmed Arlington ISD’s unwavering commitment to strengthening family-school partnerships and recognizing the impactful contributions of engaged fathers throughout the district.
