It’s graduation season and we are celebrating the Class of 2025 valedictorian and salutatorian for all eight Arlington ISD high schools. Meet Martin High School’s salutatorian Kimia Forouzesh.
NAME: Kimia Forouzesh
SCHOOL: Martin High School
COLLEGE: UT Austin
INTENDED MAJOR: Computer Science
〉What is one piece of advice you would give an incoming freshman?
Establish good habits early, foster strong relationships with your teachers and develop effective time management skills.
〉What will you miss most about high school?
All of the communities I’ve been a part of over my four years, including my tennis teammates, my chamber choir singers and my computer science couch group.
〉What are you most excited about after graduation?
I’m most excited about experiencing the freedom of college — leaving my hometown, meeting new people and immersing myself in new environments and perspectives.
〉Who inspires you the most and why?
My parents. They immigrated to this country at a young age with no resources, yet they built an entire life from scratch. They made immense sacrifices so that my brother and I could lead high-achieving, fulfilling lives.
〉What’s your favorite high school memory?
Going to perform in London and New York with my choir and getting to sing in some of the most beautiful buildings alongside lifelong friends and people I deeply love.
