Everyone should feel special on their birthday.
Texas Trust Credit Union celebrated its 90th anniversary by giving back to the community in a meaningful way. During its All Employee Event, approximately 350 employees came together to assemble birthday boxes to help students celebrate their special day.
As part of the service project, Texas Trust donated 200 birthday boxes to Arlington ISD students. Each box includes cake mix, frosting, soda, candles and a birthday card, giving students and their families the supplies needed to create a special birthday celebration. The boxes will go to students experiencing housing instability, living in foster care, or facing financial hardship – students whose birthday celebrations may not always be possible.
Through this thoughtful initiative, Texas Trust is helping ensure these students feel recognized, valued, and celebrated.
“Normalizing a birthday recognition for a student can have a tremendously positive effect,” said Vicki Warren, Arlington ISD’s coordinator of Student Outreach Services. “The intention of Texas Trust is to make students facing hardships feel special. Birthday boxes were created just for this purpose.”
The birthday box initiative demonstrates the impact of community partnerships and the power of giving back.
“As Texas Trust Credit Union celebrates 90 years of service, this project reflects the generosity and compassion of our employees,” said Washima Huq, executive director, Texas Trust Gives Foundation. “Through their donations and volunteer efforts, we were able to provide birthday boxes that help ensure Arlington ISD students facing hardship feel celebrated, valued, and remembered on their special day.”
Thank you to Texas Trust Credit Union and its employees for making birthdays brighter for Arlington ISD students!
