Volunteer at the Arlington ISD Back to School Kickoff 2025

Sign up to volunteer by July 31

There’s now less than a month before the 11th-annual Arlington ISD Back to School Kickoff event at AT&T Stadium, and we need your help.

The event, Saturday, Aug. 2, is a chance for 10,000 Arlington ISD students to get free backpacks filled with school supplies for the upcoming school year.

So, where do you fit in?

You can volunteer! It takes more than 800 volunteers to make the event run smoothly, and we still have hundreds of open spots.

There are tons of volunteer options, too. You can help distribute backpacks, work at the resource fair, help distribute water, register students to pick up backpacks or just be a floater. The options are endless, and so is the flexibility to help timewise. There are shifts that start at 7 a.m. and others that don’t start until after 10 a.m.

“The volunteers at our event are crucial to its success,” said Aaron Perales, the Arlington ISD executive director of engagement, equity and access. “We’re fortunate to see familiar faces and organizations helping, but it takes a lot of support.”

To volunteer, please sign up here. The deadline to sign up is July 31. All volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Sign up for a backpack

There’s also still time to register to receive a backpack. You can do that here.
