District Assessment Calendar

The District Assessment Calendar serves as the official schedule for all required district and state assessments administered throughout the school year. It is intentionally designed to align with the instructional cycle, providing educators, campus leaders, students, and families with a transparent, comprehensive view of the district's assessment timeline while supporting effective planning across all campuses.

The calendar identifies each required assessment, applicable grade level(s), content area, administration window or testing dates, expected testing duration, anticipated data release timeline, and other key implementation information. Assessment windows are strategically distributed throughout the school year:

  • to establish baseline measures
  • monitor student progress
  • inform intervention and enrichment
  • evaluate mastery of grade-level standards
  • meet state and federal assessment requirements.

By thoughtfully scheduling assessments throughout the year, the district ensures educators have sufficient time to analyze results, respond to student needs, and adjust instruction while protecting valuable instructional time.

While some assessments are administered on fixed dates due to state or district requirements, others are scheduled within designated testing windows to provide campuses with limited flexibility while maintaining alignment with the district's instructional scope and sequence. Campuses are expected to administer all required assessments within the established timelines outlined in the calendar.

The District Assessment Calendar is reviewed and updated annually to reflect changes in district priorities, instructional practices, and state assessment requirements, ensuring that the district's balanced assessment system continues to support high-quality teaching and meaningful student learning.
