Join us for an unforgettable experience at Arlington ISD’s annual Family Expo, Saturday April 5, 9 a.m. – noon, at the Arlington ISD Dan Dipert Career and Technical Center.
The Expo will feature over 75 vendors to provide summer resources and opportunities for students and their families to finish this school year strong and prepare for the next. Families will learn how to keep learning at home with lots of resources, tips and activities related to literacy, toys, technology, social and emotional learning and more.
The Expo will be extra special this year because of its featured vendor, Snapology. Snapology is known for immersing kids in fun learning experiences with hands-on activities that spark curiosity and foster teamwork, confidence, problem-solving skills and much more.
A few of the activities that families can look forward to at the Expo include:
Animation Studio:
Learn animation fundamentals and create LEGO stop-motion movies. Families craft a story, build scenes and explore stop-motion filming, editing and effects.
Robotics/Creature Creator:
Build LEGO robotic models inspired by dolphins or gorillas. Discover gear ratios, sensors and programming with block or Scratch coding.
Engineering Engagement Room:
- Machines in Art – Spin Art: Build LEGO machines for spin art creation.
- Junior Engineers – Simple Machines: Explore DUPLO models of elevators, amusement park rides and more to learn about simple machines.
Learning at Home Engagement Room:
- Minifigure Me: Design and create 3D LEGO minifigures based on printed outlines.
- Math with LEGOs: Explore math concepts through fun LEGO activities and take-home handouts for continued learning.
