Rodriguez Junior High Band makes history with UIL Sweepstakes Hard work and discipline propel young musicians to historic victory
For the first time in 64 years, the Rodriguez band (formerly Carter Junior High band) earned the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Sweepstakes Award, the highest honor a band can receive in Texas UIL music competitions.
