The Special Education Services Department processes, manages, maintains and houses official special education student records. The staff’s responsibility is to process and troubleshoot PEIMS data entry and verification; compliance document processing and verification; record management and distribution to educational and government agencies; maintain record security and life-cycle processing and coordination. Research and coordinate data with corresponding documents and generate reports in response to TEA, legal and federal government requests and audits. Provide research and data for special education evaluation personnel, special education administrative personnel and related services staff.

The staff fulfills various types of special education record requests. District’s SHARS Department is also housed in the Annex III building. This staff responsibility is to process, facilitate and manage the clinician billing system; troubleshoot PEIMS data and the verification and compliance of required educational supportive records needed to maintain the current billing process and system.
